Welcome!

The goal of a face-to-face clinic is the same as completing the online certification through ExpandAbilities with the exception of being in a more interactive environment and experiencing a team building atmosphere with learning as a staff or program. The goal remains to educate coaches and athletic personnel on mental health challenges and neurological disorders in order to create a space for all to participate and succeed in athletics of all levels.

Clinics will be setup into different components which are as follows:

1. Lecture
2. Discussion
3. Activities
4. Quizzes

There will be both large group and small group setups throughout the clinic which will ensure each individual is actively learning throughout the process.

1. Introduction of ExpandAbilities team and individuals in group --- purpose of clinic.
2. Each of the 8 modules (Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Suicidal Ideation, Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Stroke) will be covered in a lecture based setting with response.
3. Following the lecture, individuals will split up into small groups and will complete small group activities which include scenario based training.
4. Large group will reconvene and each small group will share their topic.

Clinics are made to be for an entire staff or athletic department as there are small group activities that are meant to be for team building while also focusing on the school or organization's demographic and need.

Clinic prices completely depend on the number of participants, and the location. 

• In order to hold an in-person clinic, there needs to be AT LEAST 20 participants. 
• In order for hold a virtual clinic, there needs to be AT LEAST 10 participants.

By holding an ExpandAbilities clinic, you and your staff will have an active ExpandAbilities Coach Certification, which is good for TWO YEARS. You will also have a better understanding of how to support all your athletes using a more interactive approach to learning about mental health challenges and recognizing the signs in order to create the best athletic environment.
